How do i setup Holiday Hours?

With schedules, you can set specific operating hours for multiple major U.S Holidays and have calls outside of those hours sent to voicemail or Choose to Be Closed for specific Holidays.

Holiday hours can be set up in My.Phone.com or Control.Phone.com, depending on which tool you use to administer your account.

Set Up Holiday Hours Using My.Phone.com

!Note! Only account Admins have access to these company settings

If you don't see the Business Hours option under the Administration drop down in my.phone.com, you can just use the instructions to set up business hours using the Control Panel.

Applying Holiday Hours to Call Handling Rules 



Once you have set your Holiday hours you will have to apply your call handling rules based on those hours.

Hover over Configure, under Schedules, select Add a Schedule

How to Add Holiday Hours via Schedules



!Note! Holiday schedules have to be created and in place at least 24 hours before they are needed or the script won’t apply the holiday rules.

  1. Mouse over Configure and click Add a Schedule.
  2. Enter a unique name for your schedule. Example: Holidays.
  3. Ignore the Schedule Type and Hours sections of the schedule page, you are only going to need the Holidays and Date Ranges section of this page.
  4. Select the “Yes” bubble next to the following option, Add a holiday or date range to this schedule?
  5. Under the Add a Holiday tab, you can select predetermined holidays and click the “+ Add” button.
  6. Once added, you can choose if this entry should only be used once.
  7. You will also be able to use the slider to determine how much of the day you wish to include (if you wish to include the entire day, make sure to drag the slider all the way to the right). You can use the arrow keys on the keyboard to adjust the sliders in five minutes increments.
  8. Lastly, you can determine how many days before and how many days after the specified holiday you wish your schedule to apply to in the exact same way.
  9. Under the Add a Date Range tab, you can specify a start and end date, and click the “+ Add” button.
  10. Once added, you will be able to use the slider to determine how much of the day you wish to include (if you wish to include the entire day, make sure to drag the slider all the way to the right). You can use the arrow keys on the keyboard to adjust the sliders in five minutes increments. Note: If you can’t see the hours to the left of your custom date range slider, please save the page and edit the page again in order for it to appear.
  11. Click Save Changes.

The holiday schedule is added to your account.
