Changing your caller ID name and number is easy. This article will teach you how.
Your outbound caller ID is the phone number or name that people see displayed when you call them. This settings can be adjusted via configure.phone.com, control.phone.com and the mobile app.
Note: At this time International and Toll Free Numbers do not support caller ID names. You can only set a caller ID name for USA local numbers.
My.Phone.com
If you see Account Settings under Administration when logged into My.Phone.com, you can change your Caller ID Name by selecting Account Settings and adjusting the name.
If you don't have the Account Settings option in My.Phone.com, you can can use the Control Panel to change your caller ID by doing the following:

- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
You've reset your outbound caller ID.
Changing Your Phone Number Settings
- Mouse over Configure and select Manage Numbers.
- Click Edit for the phone number that you want to edit.
- Scroll down to Caller ID Name and enter the name (15 characters max.) that you want to display as your caller ID.
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

Note: If Publish this number in the National Caller ID Name database is checked, the name that you set will be published to that database. Typically, landline carriers subscribe to the National Caller ID Name database, so when you call people who use those carriers, they will see the caller ID name that you've set. Cell phone providers generally do not use this database for their caller ID name services. Note that this setting can take up to 30 days to be included in all databases.
Changing Your Mobile App Settings
If you are using the Phone.com iPhone or Android mobile apps, navigate to the settings within the app and set your outbound caller ID to any of the phone numbers in your Phone.com account.
Note: While we try our best to display the caller ID name you want, upon sending the request to the Caller ID database it is ultimately the carrier of the person receiving the call that decides what is displayed for caller ID.
